日本留學申請流程/時間規劃
同樣位於亞洲且與臺灣有著相似文化的日本，最大的優勢就是地理位置，只需搭乘飛機約4小時就可以抵達，在飲食習慣上也沒有太大的隔閡，不但24小時的便利商店林立，還有發達的大眾交通運輸，使得生活型態更加便利。

日本政府為了鼓勵留學生到日本留學，推出了各種優惠政策以減輕留學負擔，日系企業或民間交流團體也會提供各式獎學金，在日本政府及企業的獎學金制度下，每年十多萬名的國際生中，約有45％的人能夠領到獎學金。
日本大學主要分為公立︑私立和國立，約有754間大學，日本一般把大學分為S、A、B、C、D、E、F合共7個等級日本教育較重視教育充實度︑教育成果以及國際性，日本大學在物理、醫學、化學等領域的成就是被全世界公認且有目共睹的。
近年來日本政府為了吸引留學生制定了「超級全球大學(Super Global University，SGU)」專案並在2014年推出，以全英授課的方式讓語言不再是留學道路上的阻礙，也為了推進日本大學教育的全球化，提高日本大學的國際競爭力。
SGU計劃將大學分為兩種Type A（頂尖型） 和Type B（引導國際型）：
頂尖型
大學是被日本政府認為可以打進世界排名前100位的大學。
引導國際型
是被日本政府認為有可能提高日本的國際競爭力的大學。
Application Timeline
建議於預計入學的前一年開始規劃留學計畫，美國學校大多提供秋、春季入學之選擇。

日本對留學打工有一套明確的規定，在取得資格許可後，每周可打工28小時，寒暑假期間更放寬到40小時，打工機會更是多不勝數，例如便利商店、服飾店、中文家教、高級餐廳等等，取決於個人興趣和自身日文能力。
日本的工作簽證並沒有配額限制。只要你工作的公司或機構正常營運，並非奇怪的空殼公司，幾乎都可以順利申請到工作簽證。如果你是學習經歷優異的高度人才，在高度人才評分表上取得80分以上，甚至可以工作一年就取得日本的永住權。
